Alexey Pivovarov spent the last seasons across Russia, Crimea and Azerbaijan. Among his photographic projects, there are these unwritten pages taken from his "personal diary". Intensive viasual notes capturing the exact istant of the complete corrispondence between the frame of mind of the places and of the photographer himself.
Images discrete, silent, far away from external invading looks.
At the same time, they are images saturated by suggestions, details, sounds and voices, sensations. Images of the "hic et nunc": a training to reach the deepest and unless immediate state of heart and mind.
They are little meditation panels for the winter.
During his stay in Azerbaijan, Alexey Pivovarov says: "I wish to go on, to contemplate the Caspian sea from all the points of view. And to visit all the five countries looking on this "lake". Not so long time ago, the countries were only two. Once, there were not countries at all. The Caspian sea has been there from the beginning.
I'd like to wish him for the future "many happy years", hoping he could forgive this kind of confidence, but at this point I feel him as a component of my family.

Alexey Pivovarov ha trascorso le ultime stagioni tra Russia, Crimea e Azerbaijan, portando avanti diversi progetti fotografici.
Tra questi, anche un suo personale diario di viaggio: singole "pagine non scritte", intensi appunti visivi che catturano l'istante della piena e perfetta corrispondenza tra lo stato d'animo dei luoghi e di chi li sta osservando.
Sono scatti discreti, silenziosi, al riparo da sguardi invadenti.
Allo stesso tempo sono scatti immensamente pieni: di suggerimenti, dettagli, rumori, voci e sensazioni. Sono immagini del "qui e ora", che preparano a volgere lo sguardo verso luoghi della mente più profondi, meno immediati.
Sono piccole tavole di meditazione per l'inverno.
Scrive Alexey durante la permanenza in Azerbaijan:
"Mantengo vivo in me il desiderio di contemplare il Caspio dalle varie angolature. Di visitare le riviere dei cinque paesi che contornano questo “lago”. Fino a poco tempo fa, i paesi erano solo due. Prima ancora, non ve n'erano affatto. Il Caspio, invece, era da sempre. Mi vien voglia di augurargli ancora tanti anni felici. Spero che mi perdoni la confidenza di una personificazione, ma per me ormai è come un parente".
