Francesca_H. Mancini
Francesca H. Mancini was born in 1974 in Rome, Italy. In 1999 she began studying photography at the Istituto Superiore di Fotografia in Rome. Then she focused on the Kosovo issue, documenting the situation on the ground following the peace agreements and photographing kosovan refugees in southern Italy.In 2001 she went to Bangladesh to report on the pollution issue in Dhaka. After finishing her photographic studies, from 2002 to 2006 she worked for various news agencies and as assistant photographer on advertising shoots. In 2007 she worked as a freelance, traveling around Kosovo and Serbia to document the post-conflict sociopolitical situation in the region and the difficulties linked to Kosovo\'s independence.
She was awarded with the M.I.L.K. Photos prize - published on Friendship, M.I.L.K. Photos project, Barnes & Noble, NY, 2001 - and the Photo Magazine grant. She exhibited in Rome, London and New York.
